Description "Ok. Everyone ready? Then let's go!" said the gang leader in a hushed, yet motivating, voice.
Every member of the gang left the gift shop, where we had been talking just inside the entrance, except me and Alan. They all went their pre-planned directions, ready to put the plan into action.
Me and Alan had been left at the gift shop to keep a lookout, and have an overview of everything that was going on. We had no way of contacting any of them if anything went wrong, other than shouting, which meant our task was pretty useless. But it was comforting to the others that there was someone watching their backs. I took the first shift of watching, while Alan sat leaning against a pillar so he couldn't be seen from outside.

"Do you think this'll work?" he asked. His voice was casual, and it wasn't hushed like the gang leader's had been - there was no need to stay quiet now. I could tell that there was genuine concern in his question.
"I dunno" I answered, ungracefully. "I s'pose it'd better. We've all put so much into it."
I looked at him, but he didn't say anything. He was staring straight forward, deep in thought. The tension was quite high, expecting something to go wrong at any moment, buy yet we were both very relaxed, knowing that it was going to be a long wait.

I looked at the entrance to the theme park, which we had come in through a good number of times in the recent months. Just ten minutes ago we had come in through there, know that this was the day; that, finally, the time of waiting was over, and the plan would soon be complete.
A large flow of people had just finished coming through the gates and, having sorted themselves out, were heading off into the park, unaware of the plot that was being played out by the gang. They left behind them a slightly eerie silence, despite the sheer amount of noise generated by the park, and a vast lack of people in the area. I looked across the park; at 'The Mousetrap' - a tall, yellow rollercoaster - that was rattling away half way across the park. I looked at the tennis courts, and the pathway towards the golf course - two attractions that seperated this park out from all the others anywhere nearby. I thought about all the people having fun, ignorent to the fact that history was, hopefully, being made in their presence.

I had a look around for anyone suspicious; anything to do with the plan that shouldn't be there. There was a kid across the pathway from the gift shop who was trying to smoke discreetly, but there was nothing else worth noticing. He was hiding his cigarette behind his back between each puff, and constantly looking around for security guards. The lack of security guards was slightly unusual, but we had carefuly picked this time to start the plan, based on the fact that there was likely to be very few guards around at this time. Also, I knew he had picked a good place to avoid CCTV cameras. I knew this from the hours I had spent studying plans of the park and all its security measures, while helping to formulate of the plan.

After a while, I let Alan take over the watch. He shifted his position slightly, so that he could see out into the park, while still sitting against the pillar. I looked around at the displays around the gift shop. Right behind us there was a display of magnetic writing pad toys. It was this display that was hiding us from the gift shop staff. I picked up one of the pads that was open for customers to try out. I took the magnetic pen, and wrote on it the first word I thought of.

"Conspiracy."

I looked down at what I had just written.
"Yes," I thought, "But it's good - it's the right thing to do. I think."
Someone took a box off the top of a pile at the very front of the shop, and the Sun peaked through the gap where it had been. The mixture of real and artificial light falling on the pad made the letters shine, as if wet. They appeared to be a dark, blood red.

This is when I first knew that there was something wrong...
