Description
There's a rose-tinted window,Between us and the past;
To make us think them "good old days",
And think they went too fast.
In fact the time back then,
Was no better then the present;
There's just that window there,
Falsely making mem'ries pleasant.
Remember, all my friends,
That it's not the past that's key;
It is what you're doing now,
And with who you want to be.

Now I've decided not to try and post on my journal daily, I can spend longer on refining the poems. This had various revisions, just changing very small things each time, very simply just trying to push it slightly closer to perfection.
Not that anything I make can get anywhere near perfection, of course.

I think I've learned that perfection is like beauty, it's in the eye of the beholder. And many, including myself, would view this poem as pretty much perfect

My eyes can't be perfect, because they're odd and they change colour...I think it's some sort of disease...

In the artist critic point of view, I think there is nothing to point out... It is writen perfectly
On the concept, I love it, I think that there is definitly the window you talk about.

The window does have an advantage, that I don't pay attention to in the poem: allowing us to leave regrets and forget pain, etc.
