A style crossover where I redesigned Ridley, yes, the draconic Xenomorph parody from Metroid, as a Hi-Fi Rush style robot. ZEB-ES4, an abandoned project designed to be a portable weapon- at this point, Vandelay Technologies were undecided on their marketing strategies and hadn't thought of a mundane alias to sell the product under, as they have their other models. Rather, this model was scrapped partway through for its overt savagery and violence, as Kale's team focused on products that could reasonably be sold to civilians for convenience.

Having fallen in love with the design style and visual art of Hi-Fi Rush, I decided to do something in that style. I also wanted to draw Ridley from Metroid, and realised designing him in that style would mean designing my own robot, I made my very own model for him in Blender. So here it is, I spent a long time trying to break down Hi-Fi's phenomenal use of colour and stylistic techniques for the render. Of course, this was after analyzing the design traits of many enemies in game, and designing a suitable robotic hull to imitate the space pirate commander himself.

I love the explosive colours and amped style of the game, not to mention its amazing soundtrack, sense of humour and gameplay (you gotta get a few chapters in for it to really pick up). Excellent game and my GOTY if not for Zelda. The game is a wonderful time, its art is beautiful and dynamic, and I really enjoyed designing something so intensely energetic.

So yeah, TLDR it's Ridley redesigned as a Hi-Fi Rush robot and rendered in that style, it's an awesome game with outstanding visuals, very cool.
