It's hard picking catergories, never the one you want.

So. This one I wanted to be special. After having a conversation with another dA person about shows we used to watch when we were kids, I remembered the good old days when I used to come home from school and watch The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. I loved that show and The Green Ranger was always my favourite. Feeling nostalgic, I went through some of my old stuff and came across a Power Rangers magazine I bought like 15 years ago. It was old and faded and the cover was missing, then I came across a sweet pic in the mag of The Green Ranger and decided to do a sketch of it which I would later paint. This time though I took a cue from my mate Patty and instead of doing a full sketch with all the detail and shading, I'd do just a bare bones one so I could focus on the comp version. I worked on this for like a week. Sketch, then scanned, inking and resizing and working on the proportions, then the colours. I really wanted this one to stand out, so instead of doing a bare two tones pic like I usually do, I decided to go all out and do a big detailed colour job and I can't say I'm dissapointed. The only thing I could say was wrong with it is the face plate, mouth piece. It could look better. And I decided to go flat colours and leave the blending, it's not really something I like to do anyway.
