This is just a quick guide I put together, designed to support my pixel horse tutorial. I noticed a lot of people keep there horse drawings as a flat colour, so hopefully this will help show where tone variesAny questions, just feel free to ask! I'll do my best to help

LOVE this, not just for pixel horses but as a reminder for any type of coloring. I still forget that there are brown/gray variations across the coat, especially in the face and nose. I'm saving this to my computer for future reference.

Wow, this is a great help for everything about horse colours! One thing though, where is a horses flank? As you can see, not so great a anatomy!

The horses flank is basically the whole area where the hind legs join onto the body

wow what an excellent tutorial! I personally dont do much digital painting or pixels, but I think this is a REALLY good tut for those who do!

Yes I agree! When I do my colour changes, I pay attention to the same details (only with wilder colours xD) to make sure it comes out looking lifelike.

haha I find that one the easier for sure ^.^ Its very rare that I get to do a normal colour like that though lol
