Description Everyone meet JINXIE!!

The original kitten i was to get was a rescue kitten given to a vet by a family who didn't want it. It was the morning of my 4 1/2 hour (one way) trip and i got a call saying that she had a medical incident ( never said what) and the vet family was going to keep her. She really apologized but i had been waiting a week for her and then boom gone. Well I hung up the phone and turned online to my Kijiji page where i was looking for kittens and uploaded 1 minute ealier (had i not gotten the call i never would have looked) was this kitten. Knowing that kittens go fast i immediately called the home. The person wanted me to call them back after she sent me a few more pictures but i convinced he to stay on while she did that because i didn't want there to be a chance some else called her while i was waiting. Good thing too as i'll explain in a moment.

Her mother is a purebred Abyssinian. Her father is about 9/10ths Abyssinian. Her birth.. an accident. The owners weren't ready for another litter so they sold off her siblings rather quickly but she was left behind. Most kittens go at about 8 weeks and it was 9 weeks so they put her up on Kijiji for only $100 dollars a steal compared to what Abyssinian crossbreeds normally go for. I had some reservations that there might be something wrong with her but since I had already put aside the day to go get a kitten, I felt i should go take a look. The drive was a little over 3 hours but when i got there i saw four felines. All were small and i thought that this was another litter and I honestly thought one of her sisters from another litter was the kitten i was taking home but it turns out that cat was 2 years old! The whole family is very small. When i finally was introduced to her she was SO SMALL I wondered if this kitten was really 9 weeks old as she only weighed 1.2 pounds (.55 Kilo). On the ride home she literally slept int he palm of Simone's hand with no issues. One touching moment was when i put her in the kitty carrier, she started mewing and ALL the other cats, her mom and other siblings all came to the opening as if they were saying goodbye to her. It was very touching.

Since then she has been to the vet and she has a good sounding heart and lungs. She does have a parasite that is common to new kittens which could explain why she is so thin. I got some meds and it shoudl be cleared up in 10 days. She only wanted to drink milk to start off with but i think i finally found a wet cat food she likes.. it has real chicken pieces in it and she gobbled it up in no time. Using the litter box is still a challenge, as she sometimes goes in it and others she hasn't so we have a little work to do. She loves to sleep in my lap and wants to always be within 10 feet of me, if i leave her sight she mews pitifully She has a loud purr and even loves to clean my hands and fingers, tho she occasionally will nibble a bit to hard. One thing i will say when she is eating, you don't try to stop her... so she must have always fought with her siblings for mom's teats cause she is insistent to get her food!

Overall I think she is an adorable kitten. She has a playful personality and is very loving. She looks like an Abyssinian and has the full ticked coat. The vet says she will be a small cat always and said I did very well to get her for $100 when cats like her normally go for 600-800 dollars. I also think fate stepped in to take the other kitten away for me so I could get this one. Too many things happened that had to happen exactly as they did otherwise I would have missed out on her. The owner said the moment she hung up the phone with me she had at least 20 other calls before she could take down the ad. So all in all i was very lucky and fortunate to end up with her.
