Description The Callithrix, or common marmoset, may be one of the cuttest animal of the planet right now... the bald callithrix is much less good looking.
Its hairless upper head make him look like an old man, the fungi growing on its head add some bad features.  The neck of this specie is also very short, it gave this specie a very ugly appearance by human standard.
But this is a very beautiful male by bald callithrix standard, its huge expressionless eyes allows it to see very well in the dark, in fact this is a nocturnal specie. And the hairless upper part of its head allows this specie of fungus to grow, its a harmless parasite.
Females are attracted by this enlightened head during the night, this fungus and this ape developed a symbiotic relationship.

This is my contribution to the contest of October of the group, i played with the etymology of the Callitrhrix, derived from the Greek words kallos, meaning beautiful, to make an ugly specie.

Scientific name: aschimocallipithecus "the ugly beautiful monkey"
Height: 1 feet
Weight: 300g
Habitat: Tropical Forest
Native region: South America
Evolved from: Common marmoset
Lifespan: 20 years

Really? I kinda pictured them as being a single species animal. Unless you have other ideas that could work

I was thinking of a sub-species and maybe a close relative but not completely the "same"
