I know I have a problem. I've had it for years. I'm getting help, I've stopped before and I can stop again. I really didn't want to that time though, that's what scares me.

I've been there myself... not too very long ago. It isn't the easiest thing in the world not to do once you've done it once however much you don't want to. The thing I think I'm trying to say is I probably understand how much you must hurt to do it... and I don't want you to hurt that much!
If you're like me it isn't a cry for help and you hide it on the whole but the pain from a knife cut feels far cleaner than the pain in the heart and the head. Remember this though... the pain in the heart goes away, however odd that sounds. The scars are for life and each one is a memory you will never let go of. You need to let the memories go to move forward.

I agree. It's hard for me because I think I got addicted. I've been doing this since 8th grade and it's just gotten worse and worse. It started out because I was going through a lot emotionally and it was an escape. But more and more it's because I like it. I like blood and I like pain, even the scars. It's just bad all around.
