And really, more than anything, I was shocked when I found out that Pearl and Marina didn't appear in the story, not even as Agents 5 and 6. You'd think that Marina being an Octoling would shed light onto this, but no...

Not that Splatoon has ever been a plot-heavy game, but last game went a lot more into the idols. Now that you mention it, it's gonna be weird all we get to learn from Pearl and Marina are her comments during the news

Her part of the story ended up meaning nothing. She didn't actually do anything in that last part either. So much for all the pre-release hype.
When you go back to fight the final boss again, she stupidly just goes back and puts the hypnoshades back on because she thinks "they look good on her".
