And yet it was not enough. No matter how many slices of cake, pieces of pie, dozens of cookies Milo consumed, he found himself unable to stop until La Crème's supply of day old pastries had been virtually wiped out. Placing a hand onto his stomach, which had swollen into an almost spherical shape, Milo reddened slightly. He had always loved to eat, and yes, he had always loved pastries, but had he truly eaten so much? What's more, Milo found himself helpless to resist repeating the evening's actions the following night after the shop closed. And the night after that, and the night after that.. Always throwing himself upon pastry after pastry as a starved wolf would throw itself upon an unknowing deer. Watching his stomach swell and inflate until he was sure it would pop with the next bite, yet knowing he had neither the will nor the desire to make himself stop...
