Without the fence the vastness of the space seemed to vanish. The fence gave the picture more focus. It also creates a feeling of absence. A feeling of being trapped. A sense of internment. It was a very moving experience composing and taking the picture.

i think the fence creates a feeling of what once occured there will never leave.. like the spirit of the wall in berlin..
it came down in 1989 but its ghost refuses to leave..
