Description
This is how I paint hair, I've been asked to do tutorials for quiet sometime and I decided to do this one <3 .

I'm going to make another brush setting tutorial, how I use my brushes soon

PLEASE READ BELOW FOR STEPS
1. Sketch, I just simply sketch out an image. I start with the plain brush tool and color in with black and white mapping out where I want the dark and light areas to be.
2. I add a new layer> clip it to previous> and go to Luminosity settings (PAINT TOOL SAI) and use the bucket tool to add a cover color. I used pink/red. Then, merge it to previous layer.
3. I add another new layer, clip, and add dark tones or shading. I use the Multiply option with the fringe option above (PAINT TOOL SAI). Merge to previous layer.
4. I then paint over it using the select tool and paint brush (opacity 70-80%)
5. Duplicate step # 3 more shading
6. Duplicate step # 4 more painting
7. I add a new layer, clip it and use the Luminosity option. I draw a line then with the eraser tool I make small shapes to mimic highlights (will add to new tutorial). Merge to previous layer
8. I then add a new layer > Option to Overlay > and paint colors around edges. I used yellow, pink, and blue. You can also go on photoshop and do a lot more rendering which I also do.
