(In this alternate reality, Arachne was never sucked up by a random portal and sent into another world where Lord William's army captured her. She never became a slave and never met the slave named Felix.)

When Arachne's egg hatched, it hatched in the middle of a deep and dark cave, all alone. There was no one around her: no parents, no siblings, only more empty egg sacks and webbing. She made it her home, hoping her family would come back for her, but no one came. Thankfully, she was born with good hunting and good spider instincts and was able to fend for herself, even at an early age, thanks to that. Being the size of a human adult when she was a child, the world of Felarya was extremely dangerous to her. Many predators wouldn't think twice about eating her, even though she was a child. Most Felaryan predators judged a creature's height as the determining factor whether they are a person or not. Because of this, Arachne called these beings monsters. So, when she grew large enough to be considered a person by the predators to a point where she is relatively safe, she vowed never to be like those monsters. She still doesn't even go near the giant predators; she doesn't want to be associated with monsters that could eat people and think it's no big deal at all. They could befriend Arachne without problems, but trying to get them to understand that she was human-sized when she was a child and still a person would just go over their heads. How could she be friends with such predators that probably tried to eat her when she was a child (since beings aged very, very, slowly in Felarya; to a point where they seem immortal).

She is very desperate for friendship. Finding a human friend would be the best thing for her since she could relate to them and their struggles to survive in Felarya. However, she can barely get two words out before they run away from her, thinking she's like monsters. She realizes that there might be some giant predators that have the same views as her, but she's just too disgusted with the others to try and talk to them. She still views them as the monsters that tried to eat her when she was a child.
