lol, my mom got me Re-Animator and From Beyond as gifts for my horror collection. I got From Beyond a couples years before I saw Re-Animator, Re-Animator was actually a graduation gift from her. Anyways! I love both films and have a tough time deciding which one I enjoy more. But I think Re-Animator wins because I love Herbert West, he is my fave mad scientist in film history, and Jeffrey Combs played him amazingly. Also this particular scene was awesome/fun/gory/epic/fantastic at the same time. Anyways. Great work as always man! You are an unbelievable inspiration to me with your art dude.Β

I strongly think that female characters in horror films who get scared easily should wear diapers. ThatΒ way, if they lose control of their bladders, at least they'll have some protection.

God the guy who plays the headless corpse makes me laugh my buns off everytime I see this film. Nothing like an 80's flick to remind you how cheesy it looked to have people ducking their heads in their shirts to make it look like they where cranially impaired.

I actually saw Re-animator on Netflix over the summerI thought it was really good, but my mom hates old movies from the 80s even though she grew up with them lol,btw have you seen the sequel, Bride of Re-Animator?

Yes of course. I saw Re-Animator and Bride of Re-Animator back when they first came out. (I'm old). If you liked those movies, you should also check out "From Beyond", made the very next year after Re-Animator, by the same writer, director, and actors. There are days when I struggle to decide if I might actually enjoy "From Beyond" better than Re-Animator.... Oh and here's a fun trivia fact - I also worked with Jeff Combs, the actor who plays Herbert West, the ReAnimator. He was a voice actor in "Transformers: Prime", an animated TV series I worked on from 2010-2012. Nice guy!

Thanks! I've been a fan of Combs since Re-Animator and From Beyond came out in the 80's when I was a kid in high school. I did this illustration purely out of fan-enthusiasm, a few years ago. Now, Jeff is a voice actor on the animated show I work on ("Transformers: Prime"), so I've met him a few times through my day job. He knows I'm a huge fan of 80's horror, so one day, I showed him this illustration. It was a real treat to actually have the man standing in my office, looking over my shoulder at my fan-art of his classic 80's horror film. He seemed amused by it. Super nice guy.
