Description

DLT-18 series of blaster rifles had been a favorite amongst planetary militias and law enforcement since before the Clone Wars. During the conflict, they were commonly found with pro-Republic and pro-Separatist irregular forces, like guerilla groups on Ryloth and Onderon or armed wings of political parties like the Jabiimi Nationalist Army. Accurate and lightweight, the DLT-18 was well received as a sniping implement though was much less durable than the clone troopers' DC-15.

By the end of the Clone Wars, the DLT-18 line was entirely superseded by the DLT-19 repeating and DLT-20 laser rifles. Many would come into the hands of rebel cells during the beginning of the Galactic Civil War, but the DLT-18 was never adopted by the Rebel Alliance. Few surviving examples exist during the reign of the New Republic and, thus, have become quite the collector's item.
