Heroes in Peril
And of course we have George here pulling his own weight as usual.
The Chasers are starting to kidnap metahumans with the intent of studying them in hopes of replicating their powers. But it looks like this time they've managed to goof up. Centauri isn't a superhuman. Her powers are technology-based, not genetically based.
But for better or worse they've got an unconscious superheroine on their hands. What will they do with her and how will Centauri get out of this mess? Read on in Kostmeyer's half coming soon...

I hope George isn't thinking of trying that suit on himself. It would certainly boost his capabilities in battle, but I'm not sure it's the right cut for him.

Thanks. I really try to give my characters each a unique "voice" in an attempt to make the world feel more real.

Centauri needs to get out of this one, otherwise she'll never get over the embarrassment of being beaten by a talking monkey with a fez... that said, if she doesn't get out of it, embarrassment will be the least of her worries! Great page - like the fight scene taking place in the background and the camera guy is always fun whenever he appears!

Centauri was no match for George's tactic of staying out of the way and letting the rest of his team do all the hard work!
This page was a bit of a judgement call on my part. There was one last point I wanted to make in my half of the collaboration and that's to point out that the Chasers team basically mistook Centauri for a metahuman with biologically based super powers. Had George've known that Centauri's powers were technology based, he never would've sent his team after her. Now George doesn't want this mistake to rest on his shoulders alone, so he's going to send Centauri to a research lab to see if there's anything he can still get out her and prevent this little fiasco from being a total bust.
I decided the best way to illustrate that would be to have George talking with Mr. Veillance on the phone, but that would mean taking focus away from the action. Solution? Throw the fight in the background so we can see it going on while George completely ignores the action. It had the added bonus of injecting a little more humor into the comic as well... which is something I still strive for.

It makes sense - I can develop the 'mistaken identity' bit a little further in mine - Hopefully we'll keep the balance of humour and genuine danger that these guys pose too!
