Ummm I can't help wonder if is going to like this or be horribly offended by it.I mean it sorta looks neat but on another level I just get the feel that I've made some sort of horrible colage. You know the crapy kinds ya make when you're like 13 and angsty.I saw 's Pay it forward thing here [link] and I had been meaning to make something for Liz for awhile now, but nothing had come to me.
Liz I made this whole thing all in one day which damn near killed me. Seeing as that I can't make pictures all in one day. Also my scanner had its way with this and chewed it up pretty good. Cutting small things out only to paste them onto something else is a pain in the ass. I don't see how you do it. I didn't really know how to draw you cause you have no ref sheet. Anyway yeah blah blah blah.
I made this for you Liz cause I greatly admire your artwork and all the time and effort you put into it. All your pieces feed my imagination, and for that I am thankful.
Never stop creating :3

Are you drawing faces differently now? It could just be the flowing motion of the piece, but it doesn't seem like that would make a difference. New style? I like.

oh sweet jesus, Chiv, this is fucking incredible. the concept itself with the jars and collage etcetc is awesome, but the way you pulled it off. i could never DREAM of doing anything near this amazing, and that's not just me trying to flatter you. this picture is just gorgeous, and beautifully executed.
then there's the style. again, i adore your other style (please don't get rid of it completely?), but this is just so ... wow. just wow. and your coloring is still amazing. and Chiv's tail is so damn cool! and i'm loving the type o negative halos you're using now.
this piece really just blows me away. if it weren't for the fact this is a gift for someone else, i would offer to buy it from you.

:3 okay i dont know if you're on my watch. but i always end up at your page to see your art (i dont look at my watch barely anymore for some odd reasons). and im liking this new style. the thinner muzzles seem to suit your female characters better? before you had a pretty thick muzzle style going on. im just wondering how this style is going to look on your male characters :0! and what nails me bam yes is how your art always seems to scan in so well o_o when i scan in my real media MAN it looks like SHIT. but yours works so well! do you use some special paper? the whole collage is hot. i love collages. and yes. they can be painful. it makes it 32458320 times easier though if you use a boxcutter knife. and with this swift style change, im just wondering if you got any influence, or did it just happen? i dont know what. but it reminds me of something... i think. probably not. because im tired and not thinking right. but i do love Chiv's face.. theres something about it etc.

Its really gratifying to know people have taken notice. Especially someone I look up to like you. I use regular printer paper and sometimes bristol....though very rarely. Glad to know I'm finally getting somewhere.

Oh god Chiv, this is amazing! You can tell that you're trying a new style, and as you can tell by all the favs it's REALLY working well for you. Are you pleased with it? Cause you should be! It's very impressive, I hope you know. I really adore the way you did the hands, especially Chiv's... I really love the texture on Chiv's shirt, and the angle of PanPan's face is absolutely amazing, and how her ears droop down behind her as she points up. The collage itself is wonderful and creative, and musta taken forever with all those small words. I absolutely adore this, the color, the detail, everything. Today I got inspired to start a Gravity/Kohazal thing with some paint, I hope I can actually accomplish it once I get it started... for now I doodled them on notebook paper and a pic on bristol of her on his lap in a completely only friendly way, and I hope you have good dreams tonight.
I adore this so much you have no idea. I love Chiv's muzzle, and that tail is amazingly hot. Dragony tail makes me happy... and VERY surprisingly, this made Anima raise his eyes - very seldomly is he impressed by art my friends make... even if it is of him. But this did indeed make him perk his ears and flick his eyes.

Usually I'm not really big on doing collages because they get to be such a jumbled mess. It's hard to figure out when it's good and when it's just too much and it often gets overwhelming, but the way you put the characters into it and matched everything up kept that from happening. The colors are spread out through the picture and everything sort of mixes together so that the confusion makes sense.
I also love the style you used. It looks and feels different from what I'd gotten used to seeing you doing and, while I've always loved your work, this just...blows me away.

But, seriously. Your use of color in this is amazing. And the angle of Bleu's face looks great- things like that are always hard to capture. I love how you've incorporated different elements (collage, fingerprint, etc) and made an abstract background rather than having a character just sitting there against the white paper.
Now I'm going to offer some constructive criticism, so here goes. While I love the green fire in the bottom left corner, it blends in a little too much with your characters' clothing and tail. Maybe you should have tried a different color, preferably one that makes the green appear a little more? I was thinking along the lines of orange or maybe a dark purple. Either way, it still looks schweet.

The colors on this are amazing! There's just so much to look at, but that's not a bad thing. I love how everything matches up, like the backgrounds match the characters they're behind.
I also love the new style you've used... and the poses. GAAAH. WOMAN. The looking up pose is like, such a hard pose to do I think and you've captured it perfectly here. o__o
And the coloring... ; ; It's all so vivid! And the clothes! Aieeee! Ok, I could go on forever.
