Me and my sister are actually working on making this costume for Halloween! Since we are low on funds (and... Super lazy) we decided to use the bottom of a blue flask, cardboard, spray paint, hotglue (for the rivets) and a brow elastic for the monocle, but my sister is good at working wit that kind if stuff so I'm nt worried. The dress is actually going to be made from white, black, and grey fabric, with black and white nylon tights for the sleeves, (and of course for the actual tights) and I'm just gonna wear my black combat boots. It's gonna be awesome.
just in case you think of doing this too, all you need really is those little squares of cardboard from the craft stores, two packs of the nylon tights from like, walmart, fabric from Jo-Ann's (I think?) and some other stuff that's really easy to find and buy, like gold and silver spray paint, hot glue, stuff like that, you can find them all over craft stores, walmart, just about anywhere!

We are! It's turning out lovely! We have the main dress done, sleeves and all, and the monocle turned out great! It looks like actual metal! We're working on the bodice and and wig now, and those should be easy. All we have to do is follow a bodice pattern, and cut and style a black wig.
Tip: If you are going to try to curl the tips of the wig,like the tips of Monocle's hair are curled upwards, roll the tips as far as you would like to go with sticks or something that won't melt, and dip ONLY THE ROLLS in boiling water. It will melt the wig into the form you want, so it will be curled up once you unroll it. My sister taught me that.
