Thanks! Yes, I try to work close, especially on this project. I think it adds to the compact feeling.

Looking forward to more! And any quick tips on how you approach "shooting close"? I am often too hesitant.

Well one thing is to do it very quick. I tend to shoot quite fast and move on. But the real trick is to be friendly and smile a lot. You have to always smile and look happy (and don't run away when people notice you). I smile at people and sometimes they don't smile back. But more often than not, they smile, or at least they don't look angry. Over time the fear or being reprimanded goes away. You realized that nothing bad will come of making a picture of someone. Then you get brave and shoot closer.

That's a very valuable tip! Thank you so much. I shall try to imbibe that in my shooting more from now. And wonderful shots! Your work inspires me a lot.

Might be interesting. I prefer color though. I like looking at black and white photographs but not producing them myself.

Looks like the skytrain in Vancouver,British Columbia, canada. Noticed the absence of caucasians. Not a racist comment,,just an observation.

Yeah Japan is pretty homogeneous in terms of ethnicity. Immigrants are very much a minority here, but you do see a good amount of foreigners such as myself as well as other Asians.

It's so polite/cool the habit to use masks outdoor

That's right people wear them to be polite. If someone is sick they wear the mask to avoid other people getting sick too.
