Description So old man Winter is back again and turns the forest into a fairytale scenery. The easiest way of getting forward in the snowy forest is walking in the river that is not yet frozen.

I used a circular polfilter, but the water is very clear indeed.

Thanks for the tip I need all the tips I can get!! Do you leave that filter on all the time or just for water shots? Sorry, I'm very new to this end of photography

No, I'm using the polfilter only for water, to control the amount of reflections and together with a tripod. There are many sites where you can learn about the basics of photography, like this one

Thank you for the link. And thanks for the tip on the filter, would that be a circular polarizer? I have one of those, if it ever stops icing up here I'm going to head out to my favorite waterfall and try that. I can handle snow, it's the ice I don't like to be out in.Β

Yeah, I know as well. Well, I recently found out that your birth country, Austria, has history with Celts. I love Celtic history and was wondering if you knew anything about it?

Of course, the Celts are very important for our history, many towns and villages still have celtic names. The Hallstatt age for example was named after Hallstatt that is near Salzburg. Later the Romans mixed up with the Celts what destroyed their culture in Austria.
