I hate making sites functional...It really hurts my brain. Probably 'cos I'm just beginning to learn css and html.

Designing them is great fun though

you can learn it
the basics aren't hard and if you use a proper CMS like Joomla or Wordpress you can do alot.
Once you've done that, try learning ModXCMS. It's the best one out there
you'll be able to make high quality websites.

Yeah I just need to keep at it. Once I start university I should be able to learn from an actual person which will be a lot of help.

Your the first one who noticed.
I had the open space I was going for and wanted a woman with long flying hair.
But it took me a time to find a proper stock image and this image was perfect.

Aha okay. For me it immediately detracts from the design, since I recognize her and I have no idea why you have a celebrity on your website design. I'd use generic stock, otherwise she is the focus and everything else on the page that has nothing to do with her causes the viewer to sit back and go, "huh? What is this website actually for?"

Other than that nice design, good grids, I love the simplicity of it and the menu. Really nice.
