Oh Absolon, what have you gotten yourself into...
At this stage of the comic, our German friends are experiencing what they called the "week of suffering." In the days prior to the Battle of Vimy Ridge, the Canadians bombarded German defenses non-stop for a solid week. Over one million pounds of steel was in the air at any given second. It was one of the most massive artillery barrages in history. I imagine it was a big morale-buster. Poor Absolon is gonna have to dodge all of that friendly fire!! Good luck chap!
