So I drew Firewalker in LEGO form, not just because I'm a huge fan of Lego, but also in recognition of 'LEGO Dimensions', a title that's surprisingly kept me distracted for the last few days.

My Views on LEGO Dimensions

This new title, unlike any other TT Lego games, is a major cross-over. And as you all know, I love cross-overs. Only, this one is different...
Now, at first, I saw the 1st trailer for the game just before Nintendo's E3 Digital Event, and I only thought '...Huh.'. It showed that it was including big film titles like Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future and The LEGO Movie. Now don't get me wrong; I've seen each of these films and almost 'em, but not as much as the games I've included in SSBF. So of course, like most of the games in the Digital Event, it didn't convince me enough to think about getting it.

WELL. Last Saturday, I was looking it up again and......welllll.............I saw THIS and THIS .

My. Good. GOSH.

Have I mentioned that I love those brands? And to think that these worlds' characters will be interacting with the likes of Middle Earth's heroes?? ...And The Simpsons?!? Now THIS is a dream cross-over that could even challenge Super Smash Bros.! Well, in terms of what it's including, anyway.
Actually, I do have some brand ideas that could also appear, but I'll talk about that in a future journal, maybe.

Now, what may make you turn around is the fact that this game is a collect-and-play game, like Skylanders. But the good news is, the figures can also be played with as breakable Lego! The starter set comes with three playable characters, a Lego vehicle and the game-pad that you put your figures on....which is ALSO made of Lego! And of course, the only thing in the pack that's not made of bricks is the game itself. So that's like....two toys in one; the Lego bricks and the game.

I may be around the age of an adult now, but I still love Lego. Oh, and I have siblings to join in for the gameplay, too.
And to see this unusual yet much-loved roster of films, comic heroes, cartoons and video-games in one universe, let alone a LEGO universe, is astounding. This game is going rrrrrright on my Xmas list.

About the Drawing

I've drawn 'myself' as a Lego figure before (heck, I MADE a Lego version of me! ), but this ofcourse was the first time I did an art of Firewalker in Lego. To keep to certain traditions of the blocky nature though, I had to draw the his hair as if it had hair-gel on, as well as changing some features of him to make Firewalker look like a toy. ...Like getting him a longer-sleeved shirt.

It also took eight different coloured pencils to colour him in.

That's pretty-much all I can say about the drawing right now, compared to my views on Dimensions. And stay tuned; I have a few more drawings ready for the next few days!
