I really love the angle and the lighting for this. It makes it seem sort of like the model's connection with the earth is turning him from a statue to a man. Or perhaps it's seems like he's stepping out into the sun after a long period without it; like a self-discovery. Congratulations on the DD; for without it, I would never have seen such a wonderful piece of art.

I agree with WonderToast that the photo holds the illusion of the model turning to stone from the top down The coloration of the sole of the right foot is our only clue that this is a real person, not a stone statue. Marvelous! Thanks for sharing.

Well, damn-and-a-half.

I think the person who said this wasn't good for a DD wasn't looking at it properly.

The colours are crisp, the angle is spiffy....and I'll be shot right now if I wasn't a hundred percent sure this was a statue before looking at the full version.
