Something like this passed through my mind when she asked beast to release her father and in return she would do "anything".

Like 20 or more shadow layers. By now I´m pretty sure I can crash any computer that you put in front of me. My poor laptop was panting with this pic´s resoultion and layering.

Lots of sketches for this one. I really wanted to show Belle, Beast and the fireplace, (The Master´s chair. XD) With almost no more details around but the lighting, shadows and the intensity of the scene. Very satisfied with the result.
While I was working on the pic I was thinking about the composition and that I would fix it later, but in the end I was like "Fxxck fibonacci and the rule of thirds, I´m not cropping anything!"

Also I tried a different approach at coloring. I stood away from my soft edged brushes and instead I tried my hand at default round brushes with pressure sensitive opacity. Almost no airbrushing. I wanted the characters coloring to feel as if they were painted with oils or pastels, something more traditional. So there.

Final revision and I find that I warped the marble texture of the columns, meh. Not gonna fix it now

Really thought long and hard about adding a chain to her neck, but it seemed that I would be pushing it to far. Besides she is the one that made the commitment, so simbolically her promise is the chain binding her.

Have I told you before that Belle is my favorite princess?
