Description
One of the 3 most technically involved portraits I put together for UED:FL, took a long time to get the liquid inside the dragoon's cabin to both look good and work well when it's drained, with some weird materials and UV wraps being involved.
I'm unhappy with the liquid dripping off the armor when it's drained. I was constrained by a material bug that made it impossible to use a 3rd UV wrap plus normal map blending, so I had to resort to using a simple screen-space based UV, which makes it look like the liquid dripping off is weirdly detached from the armor. I also could have added liquid splashes and big air/cavity bubbles when the liquid drains off and comes back in.
I'm both proud and disappointed with this portrait.
...and also i could've improved the animations.
