Did you attach the rings right through the leather or did you stitch them on with some thread?

The rings were stitched onto the leather with thread. I never thought of having them go through the leather itself. That probably would have been a lot harder to do though.

yeah, you'd punch the leather at each spot and then slip then open the ring and slip it through... I'd say stitching it on with thread is best because the thread's more likely to tear then the leather or metal. If the leather tares then you're out of luck, you can repair a sewn job

I know. My teacher wanted it to be though. She said that if I was putting in all the work to make it, I might as well make it the best I could. (There was weird things happening with the people who signed up for the class, so extra silver I guess too)

VERY IMPRESSIVE! i just love that ur not afraid to try things with chainmail. experiment with unique things like glove like this. keep it up, i'd love to see more thingslike this. great use of leather btw ^^

Thank you! I have another rather unusual piece that will be done soon, but it only uses a little bit of chainmail. Your work is great!

thank u so much! i've always tried to push the envelope of chainmail, using it in various ways including shoes which i'm working with again. can't wait to see this new piece tho
