Description
"Slashers" are large, fierce killing machines that have several prominent parts to play in my stories.
They were predominantly designed as anti-infantry weapons, but their armored heads, house powerful plasma-emitters and their own generators; while the bodies can function more or less entirely as well, without said heads, should these be severed.

Slashers have been described as cross-breeds of giant lobsters and scorpions and even, horrific blends of elephants and giant crustaceans (in earlier scripts) but the current version is definitely the most lobster-like and I am totally fine with that.
These drones do favor aquatic combat, but as the world of CLONE is one where land-mass is scarce, they definitely do have an edge on attacking soldiers on the beaches and hillsides; their main weakness is that they are somewhat underpowered on land, without the constant source of water to turn into volatile plasma to fuel them, that is abundant in the seas.
They are definitely vulnerable to attacks from air and sea-craft but can equally hold their own against such attacks; slashing is not all they're good at...
