no no, that's good.
My brother and his wife met while she was dating someone else (who she then left for him a while later). And yeah, they're married, own a house and have a kid.
I guess the end does justify the means sometimes.

I think I might add you to myspace, then I can be all stalkerish!

I have an assignment coming up. The self portrait one...I have no idea what to shoot. Anyway, come back to DA, it's fun here. Glad to hear from you again.

It's never easy, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do for my next self portrait that I do, but I feel that I should. The only idea I have so far, and I may need your help for it, is to have me holding my camera with my flash, but have the flash seem crazy bright, toss the camera and just have fun with it. Something, it's a little hard to explain.

Do have options instead of self portrait, like cutaway or figure study?

I didn't read the assignment completely yet but Dave said it's just a self portrait. Sounds like you want some kind of pop and drag or new style picture....sounds pretty neat. Where are you living, I'm on Robie street, the very north end.

I thinking just a straight flash (but it'd be side lit from the camera point of view), and make it more like the flash went off by accident. There might actually be something like it in calvin and hobbies, I'll check.

I'm on Olivet street, near the hfx shopping centre.

And Dave probably changed it, which is surprising.

ah, split lighting. I was off a bit. And yes, it's only a self-portrait..which freaks me out, that's not my best work..lol..even though I do lots of the self portraits, when I get marked on it, that's what I don't care for.

Anyway, I'm pretty busy like all the time, but I have a car now so I could swing by and help out with the flash.

How's the being social thing going?

same goes for you if you need someone to hold the camera or move some lights or whatever for your self portrait. When I did mine oh so many years ago it wouldn't have been possible without someone to work the camera.

The social thing is getting better. It was a little rough for a bit when people started moving away or flaking out. but things are looking up now. It's too bad you can't browse users on here and find some local people. It'd be nice.

It's true, I guess my social life happens online....that's a bit sad but I like keeping to myself., but when it comes to homework...I get social. I do have a few ideas for the self portrait...may need someone. This assignment is only due early December so I have plenty of time, I'll let you know if I need a hand, thanks
