Cloud coverage hid the impressive Mitre Peak, leading me to focus on something different I decided to make a tightly cropped panoramic viewMilford Sound, New Zealand

That is a very wet area too. We were lucky enough to get the dry, it was just cloudy with bright sun behind it. I guess the swarms of sandflies did help darken it a bit

the sharpening is way over the top, as =IvanAndreevich already mentioned a lot of halo effects are noticeable.
otherwise a nice capture

nope, its the same sharpening action i use on ALL my images. similar to the "Marc Adamus" sharpening technique. just re-sharpened it but masked out the areas that had obvious halos. cheers

Very strong sharpening halo running along the edge of the rock... Nothing that 30 seconds with a history tool doesn't fix

Backed it off in places mostly right-hand side..
