WHAT'S THIS NOW? oh my god i actually drew Caishide for real. and all in colored pencil? unheard of!this was done at James' house with limited supplies. i had forgotten how fun it is to color entirely with pencils, though i'm obviously a bit rusty since it's been so long. i tried to make her stripes look less painted-on and more like part of her fur, but all i succeeded in doing was making them look jaggedy. ah well i still think it's incredibly cute.
i'm pleased with how adorable her expression is.
and i'm still fiddling with whether her nose should be pink or purple. i like both variations, so i guess it'll just depend on how i'm feeling when i color.

so now i don't want to send you what i drew for you because its all SUCKY and this is pretty and stuff. i don't want to go to work. how do you do expressions so well? I tried staring at my cat for awhile but all i got was the "feed me" face, so the caishide i drew looks kinda hungry. yeah. it does look like she's plotting in this picture, and it makes me oh so happy. ps. want to stop by kentucky on your way to/from AC? wonderfully evil things will happen >:3

i try staring at my cats to get kitty facial structure down, but i don't have the attention span for it so my drawn cats never just look like cats. only vaguely feline.
i have no clue how i draw expressions, they just kinda happen. i wish i could do anatomy half as well.
oh man i wish i could take a Ky detour. sadly that would mean hijacking the plane and making a forced landing and i think i might go to jail for that

thanks! the shading and hilighting was soverymuch touch and go since i had kinda oversaturated the paper with th ebase color. glad it looks okay though

unfortunately, i'm in love with how this turned out and am planning on getting it framed to hang up. if i ever did plan to sell it though, you'd be top on my list.

i think this is abosolutly adroable. i love the green background, and the expression on her face! i think about her nose, you should make it pink when shes like, happy, excited, and purple when shes mad, depressed. but hey thats me just a seggestion:-D

And that is by far the most beautiful rendition of her I have ever seen. Seriously, it just sparkles with life and color, and the eyes add so much characteristic personality to it. Your art should have a license for all the Awesome.

Holy crap Caishy this is REALLY good. I love the angle you drew the face at, and how you did her expression. It's so freaking ADORABLE and cute! I like the pink nose, though the purple one is cute too :3
I really like how you colored this... I think you did a good job making the stripes look like they're part of her fur, they seem to blend in very nicely. I really like how you've blended all the colors together, they flow into each other really nicely. The shading on the wings kicks so much ass, I like how textured they seem to be. The way her tail is coming up over her shoulder is super cute too.

i hate pink and love purple, and the purple nose would make sense as a base skin color if the wingstalks are purple, but i can't help but admit the fleshypink nose looks good with the pastel colors. LE SIGH descisions
