Description Working on character art for an ongoing DnD campaign, Fools in the Fog.

This is my character, Hector DuFort. He's a human fighter...yes I know, so vanilla.

Hector is a son of a duke in the nearby kingdom of Rousillon. Since he was the middle son, he conscribed into the military for his father's recognition. During his time in the military Hector learned that his parents had died, and his little sister Marie was left in charge of the duchy while his eldest brother fought foreign wars far away. After his time in the military was up, Hector joined a spy group and worked as an assassin. During a secret mission in Rousillon, Hector found that is ancestral home had been leveled to the ground and no sign of his sister, who was betrayed by their advisor. Hector made it his primary mission to find his sister and tracked to mysterious fog laden ruins of a forgotten kingdom. He followed rumors of adventurers occupying an ancient tower in the mists, one of them fitting the description of his sister. On his way to this tower, fortune brought him to an inn where the adventurers he sought were staying. After battling bandits alongside them, he earned their trust, and received the unfortunate news that Marie had moved on from the party only weeks prior. Hector, using the name of Miles Garde, followed the adventurers back to the tower hoping to find more information about his sister. His true identity was later revealed to the party, who now accepts him as their friend.

Hector has fought many heroic battles, including going toe to toe with a mythical white lion. During that battle he was slain, and later revived with the help of his friends and the mysterious death goddess Lady Blackbird. Though he is mostly healed, he still bears the scar from where the lion ripped out his throat and the mental anguish of memories from the afterlife.

This portrait I've been trying to complete for years. Hopefully I'll work up the courage to finish it in the near future.
