Okay, so, this needs an explanation; in the last upload I mentioned my AU, Two Sides to a Coin, and mentioned the Ink hearts that were present in Chapter 3. Well, here is where I'll give a brief explanation as to why this picture even exists:The ink hearts are the life force or the cartoons, and it is also their link to the ink machine. The more stable and strong the heart, the more stable the toon. Bendy unfortunately, being the first toon created by Joey Drew studios has a few problems, or 'mistakes'. When it plays up or the ink machine bugs out slightly he is the most affected, and can even begin to collapse. It is also linked with his emotional state, more specifically, his negative ones. So the stronger the emotion, the more unstable Bendy will be, and depending on weather it's sadness or anger, he will either collapse into an inky puddle, or transform in an ink demon and can be uncontrollable and very dangerous.
More will be explained in the official journal I post soon, but this is just explaining a bit on ink hearts and this image here. In the meantime, hope you guys enjoy!Β

That's how it works in my AU so yes. The same applies to all the other toons as well, but Bendy is particularly sensitive to any malfunctions.Β
