heavy rain is beautiful
as it streams down my window
wave of blurriness upon patch of clarity
striking me with fierce intensity
the low grey clouds
so close
so clean
swaddling me in its woolen gaze
pull me close to the sky
each droplet pelts me
with all the strength I wish I had,
and I stand, arms outstretched
to catch the glorious pure rain.
thunder echoes on
lightning flickering across my wet skin
I gaze on in wonderment
and watch the heavy rain
pass.
