Description Footsteps echoing in the long white hallway, past closed reinforced doors locked shut and solid. He was at the door; a small slot that let him look in was closed so he opened it to look in. It was fairly light, the corners of the room on the other side had dark spots in the corner. What he was looking for would be easy to see. The room was padded as he looked around, he spotted what he was looking for.
"How was your night, Calico?" The man asked as he looked at the white ball curled in the dark corner.
No answer was given. "Were you able to sleep?" He was trying to get a response from the blonde haired girl who moved a bit but remained in the ball in the corner.
"Sleeping doesn't come very easy in a straight white vest." The girls' voice spoke up.
"Well hopefully that won't be for much longer," The man said. "Anything new?"
The girl didn't move or answer. The man looked at the clipboard he carried with him. He shook his head, "Do you have any friends or family, Calico?"
"I've made a lot of friends here in the danger zone." Calico said not looking.
Calico, I don't know you very well." The man said. "Your normal doctor is gone for a week, so I need to ask why are you here? You seem perfectly normal to me."
"I don't know." Calico said, still curled in a tight ball on the floor.
Maybe if he tried to connect with the girl he could find out what's wrong, "Hey Calico, do you know any songs?"
The girl didn't say anything at first then answered, "None that I like to sing with the others."
The man sighed, "Calico, do you ever feel alone?"
"Alone?" Calico answered finally moving and turning around looking at the door. A straight coat stopped her from using her arms but she found her way to stand up using her legs. "Yeah, I see my lonely life unfold every day." Calico said staggering towards the door.
Calico, maybe you should sit down." The man said seeing Calico limp forward to the door.
"But he never leaves me alone." Calico said. Calico all of a sudden started screaming and yelling, "Get out of my head! I won't listen to you!"
"Calico, calm down." The man said trying to see if he could ease the girl back to normal.
"Make him stop talking, make the voice stop!" Calico started throwing herself against the padded walls and struggled against the straight jacket, "I gotta get outta here." Calico said over and over again. The man gasped as one of the arms on the straight jacket gave out, soon the other one gave out too as the girl now had her arms free. She rushed over to the door free. She reached an arm through and grabbed the man. Soon she had the mans back to the door and he was being choked by the arm. "The voices in my head don't like you." The man hit a button on the wall as sirens blared. Two large guards ran down the hall towards the door where the man struggled against Calico's arm. The guards were able to get the man back against the wall out of Calicos' reach. One of them opened the door, then they both rushed in grabbing both of the loose arms.
"I'll get out of here!" Calico growled and tried to bite the arms holding her back.
"Possibly, one day, Calico" The man said pulling out a needle loaded with a tranquilizer. "But not today." The man walked up the Calico who was still held by the guards. One guard placed his hand over Calico's mouth and held her head slightly to the side so that the man could deliver the tranquilizer easily.
