A couple nights ago it was warm and stuffy in the house and I was congested. I woke up in that state. To make matters worse, I had accidentally taken my once daily blood pressure medication twice in less than 8 hours. That made me very woozy. Altogether, I felt like I was almost suffocating. I know I was far from it but I went into a tiny bit of a panic mode and had to get up and open a window to breathe in some fresh air and try not to think about my own mortality as my brain was trying to make me do. Ever since seeing the Vincent Price movie "Premature Burial" as a kid, that is one of my worst fears, suffocation. I got over it. Took me two hours to get back to sleep. I saw this music video the next day. While the lyrics don't match how I felt, the "I'm so afraid" part does and the haunting melody of the song as well. In some way it helped comfort me. I guess misery really does love company.

In 2013, during my neck bone surgery, the anaesthesia was not enough to make me sleep, I was totally paralysed. I could not move my finger nor say something to stop them but I could hear the doctors, I felt how they cut my throat (not the exact pain but the sound of my skin, how they put the instruments inside me). It was the worst 2 and half hours of my life. I scared to death... Then, for 2 weeks I was very aggressive and angry like a wild cat. I suppose I can understand/feel how you felt after taking the medicine for 2 times. Incurability is a very bad experience, it is not in your control and hard to manage. I decided to forget the surgery scandal because it did not help me to feel the discomfort of it.
OK, I confess, I hope I never need another surgery
