An XP Pen Artist 15.6 Pro drawing monitor and Clip Studio to draw in.

Cool.  Thanks for answering.    Never heard of Clip Studio, but I figured it had to be something that let you draw by hand still.  I've only ever used Illustrator, and that's all anchor point manipulation after awkwardly drawing the basic shape with my mouse.    Shading like this would take a lot of layers and messing with transparency with Illustrator.
