Started in May, finished just today. That I call "The speed and productivity"
No deep ideas or anything like that behind this picture, just Chrysalis on abstract background. Inspired by works of Zdzisław Beksiński.

Holy shit this picture. Might be some of the best artistry I've seen from digital artists, and that's honestly saying a lot. Feature of the day material for dA easily. I do wish there'd be a bigger resolution, though - for my collection if anything.

This is fantastic! I love it when artists can occasionally take a step away from the usual rainbow-colourful depiction of ponies and picture them in much darker atmosphere. I don't know if you worked on this continually since May, but the time spent on it was definitely worth it. Congratulations to a truly amazing piece of art.

If you look at her horn as a kind of weird helmet that cowl looks like shoulder pads on a dark soulsy kind of figure. Anyone else see that? lol

This is fantastic. When I look at it, I know that I am stirred by the imagery of things like Cain being driven to the land of Nod. This has a deeper resonance of pity, but pity for the lost sinner.
I know you did not mean as much by this, but this sort of foggy, hazy image, glimpsed through time and distance just shudders down my spine.
This is a definite reason that I followed you.
