Description
From a bit of worldbuilding in the Falloutverse, this is the Ronto Ruins around 2299 (22-years after the start of Fallout 3, and 20-years after Return of the Lone Wanderer). Ronto was mentioned in The Pitt DLC, and captured my mind as a way of giving it a Canadian touch. While there are a lot of piddly little warlords in Ronto, the major ones are as follows:
Liberation Party of Ronto: A democratic (sort of) organization that is dedicated to returning Canada to its greatness, stolen ruthlessly from it by the USA from WWII until the Annexation. They hold the only proper weapons factory in Ronto, the J. Inglis Factory, while the rest of the warlords have to deal with smaller shops and cottage industries. "Smaller" is still quite sizable, however. These troops wear dark blue uniforms.
Ronto Military Order: When you're thinking about Putting On The Reich, these are the people doing it currently. Unabashedly fascist, although not racist by any means, they are one of the few groups that are actually quite accepting of Ghouls, even having a few in their upper officers. They were the previous holders of the J. Inglis building, and are striving to take it back while holding their other border. Needless to say, they wear black, and their elite units have some really nice uniforms.
People's Republic of Ronto: Take communist Russia, put it through one hell of a twisted kaleidoscope and a jet dream, and you have the PRR. Not so much a movement for the working class as an attempt at understanding half a military manual in Russian, the methods and message they send attracts a lot of volunteers. Mass rushes, waves of regular soldiers, and shooting anyone trying to retreat is their primary strategies, and that's about it. The uniforms are a dark brick red.
Crown Loyalists of Ronto: Originally from Ottawa, this group has a plan to reestablish connections with England, the Crown, and returning the country to the British Empire/Commonwealth/Whatever we have after the bombs. Lead by a series of "Acting" Governor Generals, this group has the best infrastructure and support of the parties, officers having holdings in various parts of Southern Ontario, with some being given "holdings" in Northern Ontario that are currently slowly regrowing forests and a bunch of dirty and uneducated tribals. They have a major problem in that they don't have any real major industries except for a few electronics plants, which means that they are often hurting for firearms and ammo, but have an extensive amount of energy weapons. They also have access to a Geothermal Power Plant, small compared to the needs of Toronto before The Great War, but large enough for them now, and able to recharge their energy cells. Their soldiers wear grey uniforms with a purple crown on the breast above the heart, and on the right shoulder.
All of the groups described above also have access, and use, of a broadcast studio and antenna, which means there are quite a few radio stations fighting for ratings.

Neat bit of info there. It's a little hard to read the text on the map though.
On the Crown Loyalists, did the Brits even survive the atomic war?

Yeah, I know it's hard to read. Even harder in black-and-white printout.
At least England and Ireland survived the Bombs in some way. Alister Tenpenny is from England, and Colin Moriarty of Megaton was born in Ireland, but was in the Capital Wasteland as a baby.

Huh okay. Maybe I really should pickup Fallout 3, seems it's got a lot more history in it than just Vegas alone.

Being on the East Coast, it has new backstory compared to all the stuff on the West Coast in Fallout 1/2 and Fallout: New Vegas. Paints a bigger picture.

Lots of Apocalypse Logs that require hunting up, including newspaper reports about the Canadian Annexation.

I've sunk literally hundreds of hours into the game and haven't found everything.
A few months ago, I was giggling at a Mole Rat Race Track set up by what were obviously some raiders for the purpose of betting.
They even had stakes up on a crate.

Exactly.
And my group just discovered, and became citizens of, Vault 71! The AI Overseer was lonely.

This is a tabletop game, people and dice, no computer needed. As the Game Master of it, I can do whatever I want.

There's no real right or wrong for tabletop if the players want true-blue Fallout style gameplay they should just fire up the actual game itself.
