I had a Nurofen liquid capsule sitting on my desk and it looked pretty so i thought it make a pic with them in.Modelled & rendered in Cinema4D, post work in Photoshop.

its a render, but based on a photo i took. my camera was acting up so i couldnt take a clear enough photo to make a print out of, so i decided to model the stuff in the photo in 3d instead. render took like 20 hours at 12000x9000 :/

all those internal reflections and refractions and diffractions or light and shadow and background objects really puts a strain on the render engine. this had everything turned on; caustics, gi, ao, higher than usual aa due to the refraction, and 1.25 million photons from the light source that is creating the specular highlights on things. aaaand then i had to deal with crappy cs2 being crappy on an intel mac with problems such as crashes, freezes, it not seeing more than 3 gigs of ram, and filters taking about 15 mins to apply. wasnt a fun 2 days, but at least i have a max res print version of it now.
