Description
"See? It's a medical condition. Can't see a thing."
Aaron turned his body so the two Militia persons could have a better look at his eye. The eyeball was dull, dead looking even, and twitched in random directions as he waved a hand in front of it. "I was in an accident a few years ago. I went to the local hospital so they should have my records. And photos. You'd have to call my parents or whatever, or maybe my doctor." There was a bored sounding tone when he had to clarify his situation. It required every bone in his body to resist the urge to trick them like he done to everyone else at the comics meeting. Pretending to have powers in front of people meaning to do questionable stuff was more trouble than he was willing to put up with. "Heck I bet if you ask anyone in town, they'll tell you all about that gorgeous, brilliantly dressed eyepatch kid who's been running in the streets for a few years," he chuckled confidently, leaning on the wall. However, he leaned a little too hard and slipped off, falling flat on his smug face. With a groan he lifted himself up and wiped off the gruff. "… And did I see anyone suspicious?... Weeeell, my doctor calls me 'visually impaired' in my other eye. I should be wearing glasses or contacts but I don't prefer it. Even then, things aren't perfectly clear, so don't count on me to be a proper witness. Everyone there looked like the same blurs to me." If that unintentionally embarrassing display wasn't enough to prove it, then he didn't know what would. "I just went there to collect a handful of free comics for a friend at school who couldn't go, so I kind of did my own thing and I didn't stay long. Dunno if anything else happened, sorry." That sorry didn't sound very genuine (more uninterested if anything) but everything else spoken sounded quite emotive. Perhaps it's true his broken eye could look like an abnormality to a stranger on the lookout for weird people. How flattering! But... it's not like his eye stretched or turned invisible or glowed funny colors or whatever. Oh, he wished. He hated to disappoint his audience, but they were better off going someplace else.
"That's okay. Could you perhaps tell us what the name of this friend of yours is?" one of them spoke up.
"Ehehhh, Mi-chael," he hesitated. "Michael March. His stuck-up folks wouldn't let him go out so late so I had to get the books for him." Thankfully he did have a Michael March in his classes, whom he happened to sit next to, but they didn't talk all that much. At least the kid was a good rebound from his potentially dangerous slip up.
The two militia persons stared at the boy for a little bit with faint uncertainty to the boy's claims, but chose to trust him. "If you hear of any suspicious activity or see what looks like a suspicious person please be sure to inform us in the future. We'll be keeping an eye on you, okay?"
"Yeah, yeah sure, whatever," he sighed. "I mean, hey, I keep 'an eye' on myself all the time. Because... I only have one eye," he pointed towards his face excitedly. It wasn't all that funny, but he hoped he could get a laugh out of them for it. He couldn't. Awkwardly slipping the heart patch back on, he continued in his informal demeanor. "Oh, oh, come here so I can take a selfie! I've been trying to selfie myself with all you military guys. And, aaand, since you're here, why don't I show you my newest eyepatch? I just got it in the mail, you're gunna love it-"
The two agents gave a look at each other, both wearing a perplexed expression. Safe to say they didn't stay much longer after that. There were quite a few others they had to see today and they'd seen enough here.

Can't turn yourself in when there's nothing to turn in. And why turn those other guys in for money? Money means very little to a kid who's financially doing well. His goals are beyond money.
On a side note, Aaron's house changes every time I draw/describe it. I can't get a consistent look for it. >:T .........
