I've posted a few pictures of these guys before...

And this picture specifically was on my closed, alternate account as well...

But I never really explained them... o3o

Sooo... I feel like being a bit nostalgic today, and explain a bit more about Punnies in general and the characters depicted.

The punnies world is spilt into two MAIN regions (as I remember... there may be more or I may create more):
The city
And the wild...
The only difference is that the city is more technologically advanced and the wild is more rural, nature friendly, and peaceful. Most of my old Punnies live in the wild, while the new ones live in the city. Some have moved from wild to city, and others have moved from city to wild...

Punnies have 4 different types. (the whole updated, original and new are not "types"... xD)

Your common Punnie: There are two different types of common Punnies. The larger, big-eared types and the smaller, thin-eared types. From this, Punnies with the wider looking ears tend to be slightly larger, while punnies with thin ears tend to be smaller, by a little bit. Obviously, you can't see the size differences too well on this pic. It's old and not size accurate, so excuse that... xD
Punnies are very colorful. Most are named based upon their colors, others based upon their talents and others with unique, non-relevant names...
Punnies with larger ears are also more common that Punnies with thin ears.
Larger eared punnies include Crafty, Domino, Purple Cutie, Orchid, Golden and Pinki.
Thin eared punnies are Sporty, Joey, Lil Purple and Lelee.

Animal Punnies: These are the second most common types of Punnies. Animal Punnies are based off of animals from our world, whether it be a bird, a cat or a dog, there are many types of animal Punnies. Most animal Punnies live in the wilderness, but still retain a non-wild behavior. Also, most animal Punnies are very nature friendly, and some very wild animal punnies are slightly resentful to city punnies.
There are only two animal Punnies on this picture. The super sweet and great duo of Tiger (boy) and Tigie (girl)! (ignore the fact the picture says Tigie and Tigie Jr. I named most of my characters like that, but I decided to make their names more unique. Tigie was changed to Tiger and Tigie Jr. changed to plain Tigie)

Dwarf Punnies: Punnies that are much smaller than they should be. There aren't many dwarf Punnies, but they do exist. Dwarf punnies also come in wide ears and thin ears, and the wide eared ones are also SLIGHTLY bigger than the thin eared ones. Caramel and Helocopty are both dwarfs. (and yes, Helocopty's ears are spinning... they can't stop... he's always floating... he's kinda a mix between a dwarf and a special/rare... *see next information* xD)

Special/rare Punnies: Special and rare punnies are the least common from the 4. Special and rare punnies carry special powers or abilities that normal punnies can't do. For example, Ring, who is a special Punnie, has the power to control the color spectrum with her spectrum siblings. Another special/rare punnie not pictured is dreamcast, who has special dream abilities (make something dreamed come into the real world). ^_^
They are VERY rare, and don't come out often. If they do, they don't use their powers often.
Helocopty can also be considered a rare/special because regular Punnies can't spin their ears like a helicopter. But other than that, he has no special/rare abilities.

I also must mention about the aliens!
There is only one alien on this pic. It's name is CoCo...

Aliens are mean to the Punnies. They show bitter hostility by invading their planet, terrorizing them with their lazers, and scaring them away from their homes. No one knows the reason why they do this. some rumors say that it's because they enjoy watching the innocent violent-free Punnies being terrorized. Others think that they want to take the planet for themselves. And even some really farfetched rumors say that the alien race were once Punnies, but a horrible experiment gone wrong by one of smarp's ancestors (Smarp is a super-genious scientist Punnie not depicted) tranceformed them into one-eyed, antenna creatures that were rejected by the other Punnies. So the small group flew away to another planet to plot their revenge on the Punnie race.

Maybe it's a combination of all three...

but anyways... Aliens... Punnies... not friends... xDD

Buuuut... CoCo... is kinda a captive from Smarp. Smarp is trying to experiment on it to figure out what it is made of, it's stucture, etc. and if the rumors may be true.

The Punnie gang try to befriend CoCo, especially crafty, who's always wanted to meet an alien without being blasted away... but that's pretty hard... xD

Anyway...

Did you know how I came up with the name "Punnies?"

Puffball bunnies... xD

So basically, they're this weird alien-bunny-type thing... xDD

Anyway, enjoy... I'm trying to revive back all my creations... I was kinda motivated to explain the Punnies more after told me that she liked them, and made some of her own... xD
It really brought back my love for them...
So I wanted to be sure she knew a little bit about them...! along with you all as well!

By the way, you should go say hi to her... she's new to deviantArt...

Anyway... I'll explain their personalities on another picture... with more Punnies than this... later... I've got lots of personal projects, requests and series to keep up with... so I hope you don't mind the extra variety...

And besides... posting old stuff is fun... relaxing... and puts you down memory lane... <3
