Description
I've been focusing a lot on rewriting Zane (and Alex ) lately, two characters that were my fixations from 2011 forward. Although they were both built to be side characters for my child protagonist(s), I ended up liking them more than the protagonists and therefore working on their stories more... oops... despite that, they're still built with the intention to be side characters, ironically...

I think it's actually a lot of fun going back to adult characters I wrote while I was a teen... now as an adult, I can write and understand the adults a little better, LOL.........

Anyways, back to the drawing... it's surprising to me that I never uploaded the original here?? (or at least I can't find it) But this is actually a recent redraw of a page of expressions I did back in 2013 (similar to the ones I drew for Abner / Matt back in the day). When I originally drew this, I wanted to test some more toony-looking expressions combined with my style. With the redraw, I wanted to keep the energy of the expressions without entirely breaking the mold for my present style. There's some aspects about the original I still like more (perhaps I could have pushed his face just a tad??), but I do admit I feel much more confident and happier with the direction my style has gone in since drawing it. :,,D

.......... I should post Zane's actual reference page though. I forgot I didn't do that.... will probably do that shortly...
