I personally think Toad is a hard character to make a moveset for, mainly because he has so much potential.

Nice update! Still, I like to see either Toad or CAPTAIN Toad in Smash, with Toadette as an alt. skin for him. Like Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings, or Captain Olimar and Alph.

mind you, I don't mind the plant all that much compared to how I'd feel about a normal toad getting in (toadsworth would be preferable to me)

At least if they make a really compelling moveset for Toad that is worth maining, it'd be an interesting idea.
Plus, Toad himself is a lot more iconic than a piped plant (not to sound cynical).
(adding onto that plant thing, I'd rather go with Petey Piranha than a generic piped plant, poor guy deserves more love)
