Ever wondered how Nezurick ever got her scars?
-Bingo.

You see, the Eastlanders never liked the Norms, and the Norms never liked the Eastlanders. When the great war happened between both of them, (30 years before Eli was born), Zaron (The charmingly enraged Eastlander on the right) killed all of Nezurick's family, including her young offspring.

Big mistake.
Nezurick hunted down Zaron for 2 years after the war till he found him congregating with his fellow Eastlanders on a cliff next to the sea. The other Eastlanders fled in terror as the surrounding landscape burned in blue fire around them, but Zaron (being the charming fellow he is) stood his ground. He knew that Nezurick was the mother of the youngling he killed, and was the mate of the one he massacred.

Boy, was both of them pissed and "I can't hit a girl" dosen't apply with a fellow like Zaron. They went at it for what seemed like hours to them, but it was over in a matter of minutes. Zaron fled, knowing that the tasty red stuff coming out of him, needed to be in his body rather than out. Nezurick collapsed, exhausted and bleeding, but her wounds healed quickly.
Nezurick stayed on the very ground that her blood was soaked in for 4 days, lying there and doing not much but trying to stay alive, till she could hunt again.

Both of them got out alive, but they have never met each other since. Nezurick still would kill Zaron on sight, Zaron would do the same.

Nezurick still feels the pain from the wounds today, even though they are healed as scars, but the memory of her loved ones deaths' is just as painful.

That is, up until Eli came and changed everything.
