Caleb Quinn - “Strength of a minotaur, power of a charging juggernaut. Mythic Drive, Red Operative.”
Hugo Church - “Stealth of a vampire, power of a speeding supercar. Mythic Drive, Blue Operative.”
Alex Moon - “Ferociousness of a kraken, power of a scrambling jeep. Mythic Drive, Pink Operative.”

Caleb Quinn thought his dad dying would be the closing of a chapter in his life... until he found a strange briefcase in his dad's storage unit, containing a Mythic Driver and the Red Juggernaut Engine Gear. Almost immediately a new chapter opens and he's set upon by two shadowy and secretive organisations looking for control of the morpher - the criminal cabal COSMIC and their Mutate henchmen on one side, and Hugo Church aka Mythic Blue, and the agents of ASTRO on the other.

Soon joined by Hugo's support tech Alex, who inherits the Pink Jeep Engine Gear and Driver, they enter a world of secret agents, lies and conspiracies, their exploits hidden from the public and even StratCom. Armed with their gun-blade Myth Breakers and their weapon's powered up "Classified Modes", they are charged with protecting the world from the machinations of the crime boss known only as "Spook" and of course COSMIC, along with the demonic, often eldritch forces of the Dark Dimensions; the Lords Deneg and Mordecai.

But who controls who? And who's the bigger threat? And can the rangers say for certain there's no danger from within ASTRO itself?

ASTRO and their rangers have been on the scene for a lot longer than StratCom and the Cross Rangers, making them the true first ranger team. Before our three heroes, their parents and grandparents wielded the powers and before them... who knows? ASTRO certainly aren't letting on.

Each Mythic Driver contains the spirit of a legendary creature. And each memory card-like Engine Gear contains the power of a vehicle and other ranger specific data like colour and weaponry. Over time, and with each subsequent user, an engine gear gathers hereditary data, not only locking itself to a specific bloodline but altering and tweaking it's colour and suit design to fit the rangers personal style. (More on that later) Their zords, naturally, have two modes, "vehicle" and "beast".

These are the second installment of the Fighting Spirit Saga, alongside another team I'll reveal in due course. Originally I was going to keep up the ____ tribe: ____ naming scheme for each season, but decided to rename all subsequent installments in a more fandom friendly format.

I'm really proud of the design, story and gimmicks behind these guys. In fact, you could say I'm proud of the whole thing. Definitely expect to see Mythic Drive in fic form in the future!

This is by no means the last you'll see of Mythic Drive, oh no. There's a few more deviations to come yet.
