A pic of my fave couple from Buffy The Vampire Slayer, it's Willow and Oz, I haven't used charcoals for ages so I'm a bit out of practice and my scanner absolutely killed the soft detail! stupid thing!!Related content

I knew this was Willow and Oz as soon as I saw it! Awesome job! I can completely relate to scanners killing the soft detail, it did that to the couple portraits I put up here. It's frustrating!

If you have a digital camera, have you tried taking a picture of the drawing and then editing it in program like photoshop?

Next time give it a try. You can adjust the contrast- also the burn and dodge tools are helpful

burn allows you to make things darker (like any soft detail that the scanner or camera didn't pick up in your drawing) and dodge makes things lighter. You just have more control over your picture. You can darken or lighten specific parts and you have control over how subtle you want to go.

I did spend a lot of time, found his hair the hardest thing about this pic. followed by his face, didn't realise how awkward his face shape was till I tried to draw it lol
