The Rhythm is strongit knows I belong
It speaks to me
giving me dreams of success
Lying to me
Telling me I'm the best
Whispering words
of comfort and fear
Yelling at me that I wont appear
In the darkness
to come down as the winner
showing me things that look at my inner
self my inner peace
my inner truth
my inner release
To save me from the rhythm
that controls my every action
To know when I come as the next resurrection
It tells me in beats
both in the heart
and in the brain
trying to convince me that I'm not insane
It lies, it cheats its steals,
Trying to show that beat has ideals
The voices in my head/ fight all the time
saying I cant run/ saying I cant rhyme
I got to ignore them for most of the time
sneaking out when I try to climb
Telling me words/ that flow like the Nile
trying to tell me
that I go the mile
I can win at this game
I'm not bad at all. That's what the voices say
but they just fall
to my real voice which knows I cant spit.
If I ran to the mic Id probably just quit.
Telling everybody I guess I'm not fit
to tell my feelings through one simple rift
that can flow on through me like a drift
A drift in time
A drift in space
A drift in the truth
right to my face
I have to face the facts sooner or later
but until that time comes
Id rather be greater.
