The most unlikely of friends ever. In the world. Vinny and Calix. Just a quick drawing cos I've been dying to do one of 'em. C:These are the two characters that =AzraelEvangeline and I are playing in one of our weekly campaigns. I'm totally loving this one ... the whole party is a group of escapees from an illithid city where they've been kept as slaves for a loooong time. So now they're wandering in the Underdark, trying to find a way out before they get killed - either by the illithids that're hunting them ... or something else.
It's a really fantastic game so far - we started out with absolutely NOTHING, seriously. Nothing but rags. So everything we find has been of great value, even crappy little things most adventurers don't even glance at. Hell, we have to make sure we have enough to eat and drink every night so we don't starve down the road.
Anyway ... Vinny and Calix ((who is being played as a child in this campaign, even though in most settings he's a pretty damn epic adult)). Vinny is younger than she is in the Leviathan story as well, but it's not as noticeable.
They've become very close in their travels so far ... which has been a relationship that's absolutely entertaining to explore, haha. 8D

Thanks! My personal favourite is 3.5e - it just makes a lot more sense to me and it's the format I built my own world around. There are a lot of things I don't like about 4e ((Wizards seems to be trying to cater to the MMO crowd)), but there are also things I like about it.
tl;dr, I play both versions. C: 3.5e is my personal fave but 4e is still fun, so go ahead and give it a try!

I don't play online - at least not MMOs. I do play PBP, although some of the campaigns have been put on hold recently for real life. :'D I still RP every day though, playing casualized campaigns. C:

Oh no, that's fine! The forum's more about the story than the numbers anyway. Everyone on there is an experienced player so the numbers and rules are all in the back of our mind, but the campaigns are mostly story-driven and as gamers, we simply keep restrictions and allowances in mind.

I really like them, they semms to be cool! It must be a great story, escaping from the illithids
(But the Underdark is a very dangerous place...they could meet drows or duergars...etc)

Is it sad that my favorite part of this picture is Vinny's licid? Squidy is so adorable XD They look so young and somewhat innocent here. I still love how you did Calix, someday he'll rule an empire - for now he's shitting in pants and shoes that don't fit... but can still strangely manage a greatsword with ease.
Vinny is a darling no matter what setting she's in, such an exotic and beautiful girl!
