Description
The Kirov-Class was comissioned in 2293, shortly after the launched of the U.S.S. Enterprise (NCC-1701-B). These vessels were built on the same spaceframe as their Excelsior-Class sisterships but with different outfitting that made these ships have the capabilities of a heavily armed, advanced Dreadnought. The Kirov was launched from classified location and meny of it's technical data was sevearly redacted, due to being plased in a critical role. It's sole mission was the implementation og the Omega Directive after the destruction of the Space Station Lantaru 1, and the death of Dr. Ketteract that was the result of the formation of the Federations, first-and oly experiment of the Omega Molecule.
By 2367, the U.S.S. Kirov was still in service but was downgraded to a crusier and utilized as a logistical support vessel.
